Leeds United midfielder Alex Mowatt has been included in the England Under-20 squad for next week’s games against Mexico and the USA.
The 20-year-old’s impressive performances for the Whites in the Championship this campaign have seen him take a step-up in the England set-up.
Mowatt will now be part of the 22-man England squad who will take on Mexico at the Hive next Wednesday and the USA at Plymouth Argyle’s Home Park four days later.
The youngster is one of the best midfielders in the second tier of English football and has a very bright future.
Mowatt has scored seven goals and created 40 chances in 29 Championship appearances so far this campaign, while having a pass accuracy of 82% and a shot accuracy of 48%.
The Englishman has won 12 of the 26 dribbles he has attempted and 32 of the 70 tackles he has made.
