A selection of the latest stories in the media involving Liverpool Football Club this Friday morning.
Liverpool's Adam Lallana has said that Manchester Untied will be worried about them ahead of Sunday's clash between the two sides at Anfield.
The Reds know that if they win against their fierce rivals on Sunday then they will have overhauled them from a 10 point deficit from their last meeting in December, and Lallana is backing the Reds to finish in the top four.
He told the Daily Mirror: "There has been great character from the lads since then. We’ve kept working and grown as a team. Confidence is sky high and there’s no-one we feel we can’t beat.
“I think they will be worried about us. The run of form we’re on, it’s incredible."
The Mirror, as well as the Daily Telegraph, are reporting Liverpool's interest in Arsenal winger Theo Walcott. Though both reports link the interest to the ongoing Raheem Sterling contract saga, the Telegraph suggests even if Sterling signs a new contract, the Reds could make the move for Walcott with doubts over the future of Mario Balotelli.
Walcott's current contract at the Emirates Stadium is about to enter its final year, while Champions League football is thought to be essential to any chance of landing the England international.
Former Liverpool defender John Arne Riise believes Liverpool are back to their best form following a poor start to the season, and says he isn't convinced that Manchester United are a top four side.
He told the Liverpool Echo: “They didn’t have the best of starts to the season but now they’re back to where they should be and playing good football.
“Last season was unbelievable. They were fantastic to watch. This season they aren’t playing brilliantly every week but winning games without playing particularly well is the sign of a good side.
“Sunday is a really important game for the top four and I think Liverpool will be too strong for United.
“I’m not convinced by United. I don’t think they are a top four team.”
