Tottenham Hotspur fans debate Mauricio Pochettino's future and tactics

Tottenham fans have given their thoughts on manager Mauricio Pochettino, whether he's the right man for the club and his tactics.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino is under immense pressure at White Hart Lane.

The source of that pressure is the thirst at the club for Champions League football, which has proven to be so vital for some of Tottenham’s main Premier League rivals.

The result against Manchester United last weekend has left Spurs chasing a gap with games quickly running out in the Premier League season.

The worry some fans will have is that chairman Daniel Levy’s finger could tense on the trigger if Tottenham remain a Europa League side looking ahead to the next campaign.

It will be difficult for the manager to attract the calibre of players he desires in the transfer market, without the benefit of Champions League football to back himself up.

However, regardless of where Tottenham finish, Pochettino has still done a good job in terms of developing his side and basing it around the younger players at the club.

The summer will also provide him with the chance to develop different tactics and plans, which will give the side fresh ideas in big games next season and that should allow Tottenham to move into a stronger position.

Here’s what comments from fans on the site have had to say in relation to the manager’s future and his tactics.

E17ender: Poch must learn to pick the team for the game in hand and not just the almost same players every week

alan: SPURS had a off day were not at the races and lost the game like any team can lose - You are all experts now, good luck with your new job at tottenham

rospur: POCHETTINO needs to get plan 'a' right first

Mike R: Poch has overall improved the team but it will take time for him to get the right players in and the system he wants to play to it's full level - I think we all know that we need a stable manager for a few years to create a good team and Poch is also learning

Bussy: Poch will take us places if he is backed otherwise he will just be another man on the list of casualties at Tottenham

Mike R: I agree Poch also needs to be backed and I think Levy must at last realise that. I think we all want a manager to be backed and stay the distance

Dave: what he can be blamed for is the Fact he doesn't change the system when this Problem arrises and he doesn't seem to have any another way of playing and he waits far to long to make Substitutions
