Report: Newcastle looking to push through Ayew deal this season

Newcastle United are reportedly trying to close out a transfer deal before the end of the season.

The Northern Echo has reported that Newcastle United are hoping to announce a deal for Andre Ayew of Marseille before the end of the season.

The paper claims that the 25-year-old has already turned down the offer of a new deal to stay with the Ligue One giants looking ahead to next season.

His arrival will provide a welcome boost to the Newcastle attack and would be a positive capture by John Carver, who could base his attack around the Ghanaian if he keeps his job looking ahead to next season.

The paper explains that there is still a danger that Newcastle could still miss out on their man.

He will be a free agent after the end of this season, which means he and his representatives are still able to listen to offers and open themselves up for talks from other sides.

However, the Magpies are reported to have already got a solid offer in for the player and will look to bypass that danger over the coming weeks, taking care of some busy before the season has even finished.
