The two strikers are now playing for Fulham following a summer switch from Leeds.

Leeds United fans expected their star striker Ross McCormack to leave the club last summer, but were slightly shocked at where he went and for how much.

He joined Fulham, with the Cottagers splashing out a reported £11 million on the Scottish international, according to the BBC.

He was not the only Leeds striker to head to Fulham. Matt Smith followed former Leeds team-mate McCormack to their Championship rivals, for a fee reported to be in the region of £500,000, according to the BBC.

In truth neither have had it great at Fulham. Smith was shipped out to Bristol City after some poor early form and has recently returned from that loan spell. McCormack has failed to find the net with anything near the regularity he did at Leeds.

Last night the pair were in action against Leeds for Fulham at Craven Cottage and it was a game they would much rather forget.

Leeds won the tie 3-0 to keep Fulham on the cusp of the relegation places in the Championship while Leeds continue to soar under new boss Neil Redfearn.

The pair certainly looked dejected after the game, as the attached picture shows.

Both players were popular at Leeds, so revelry will be muted. However, there is little doubting Leeds fans would have enjoyed the win against Fulham and their former strikeforce.
