Nottingham Forest owner Fawaz Al Hasawi thanks Dougie Freedman on Twitter after latest win

Holloway & Freedman

The Scot has transformed the fortunes of the club since taking over from Stuart Pearce.

Nottingham Forest’s resurgence under new boss Dougie Freedman continued last night, as they defeated Rotherham United 2-0 at the City Ground.

Since taking over from Stuart Pearce the Scot has led Forest to an incredible run of results, dropping just seven points from his 10 games in charge at the club.

Freedman’s Forest are now just eight points off the play-off places with eight games left to go and with Derby County in free fall and Brentford in touching distance, Forest fans are not giving up hope of a dramatic end to the season.

This weekend they take on Norwich City. The Canaries are currently fourth in the league and battling for automatic promotion. Yet a win for Forest and they will be just six points behind the Norfolk side – it is getting that close for Forest.

The recent run of form obviously has controversial owner Fawaz Al Hasawi ecstatic.

He Tweeted this after the game, thanking Freedman for the recent run of form and also looking ahead to the crunch tie with Norwich.

With Forest still having to face fellow play-off and promotion hopefuls Wolves, Brentford, Watford and Ipswich Town this season they will be hopeful of pulling off a great comeback to their season.
