Leeds United forward Mirco Antenucci has taken to social networking site Twitter to revel in scoring against Fulham on Wednesday.
The Italian did not start the Championship clash at Craven Cottage and came on as a substitute for Alex Mowatt on 83 minutes.
The 2014 summer signing from Ternana found the target just five minutes later after Sam Byram's cross was only palmed out by Fulham goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli.
It was Antenucci’s ninth goal in 31 Championship appearances this campaign and helped Leeds secure a 3-0 victory over Fulham.
The 30-year-old has been struggling for playing time in recent weeks, and his goal against the Cottagers in London seems to have lifted his spirits.
Earlier this evening, Antenucci took to Twitter to post the following message.
Great win..thanks everyone for the tweets ,i'm very glad and proud to be back to the goal #fearthebeard#7 pic.twitter.com/TFOK5XS5Rp— Mirco Antenucci (@anteseven) March 19, 2015
Antenucci has scored nine goals and created 20 chances in 31 Championship appearances so far this season, while having a pass accuracy of 80% and a shot accuracy of 49%.
Leeds are currently 12th in the league table with 51 points from 38 matches.
