Manchester United media round-up: Hodgson could alienate United with England decision

A round up of news stories this morning related to Manchester United.

The Daily Star claims England manager Roy Hodgson could anger Manchester United in the race for the top four.

With Hodgson’s next England squad announcement due today, the paper suggests that he could aid United’s arch rivals.

It’s being reported that he could rest key Liverpool players for the upcoming international games, which would seemingly hand them an advantage in the race for the top four.

The Metro claims that Manchester United star Angel Di Maria has asked his agent to get him a transfer away from the club.

The Argentine has struggled to produce his best form since joining United from Real Madrid in a £60 million move last summer.

Barcelona and PSG are thought to be among the clubs interested in him should he move on.

The Metro has also reported that former Chelsea midfielder Kevin De Bruyne is a £30 million target for the club.

United are reportedly keen on doing a deal for the midfielder ahead of local rivals Manchester City.

The Belgian has been an influential player as Wolfsburg have risen to second in the Bundesliga behind Bayern Munich.
