The striker missed a penalty at the Nou Camp as City were dumped out of the Champions League.
The game ended just 1-0 but that was thanks to Joe Hart. The England international kept out a Lionel Messi inspired Barca on numerous occasions throughout the tie and in the end City lost just 3-1 on aggregate.
Who knows what might have happened had Sergio Aguero’s penalty hit the back of the net. The Argentine, usually so prolific from 12 yards, saw his effort terrifically saved by German stopper Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
The Argentine was simply outshone by his international team-mate Messi on the night and today he has taken to Twitter to explain how gutted he is with the Champions League exit.
I'm still a bit upset about getting knocked-off but my focus is on Saturday's Premier League match - there's still much to fight for there!— Sergio Kun Aguero (@aguerosergiokun) March 19, 2015
He is however right to focus on the Premier League. City take on West Brom this weekend and after their defeat to Burnley last weekend they currently find themselves looking down at Arsenal rather than up to Chelsea.
Aguero and co will have to ensure they can put in an improved performance come Saturday, or Tony Pulis will happily take full advantage.
