Nottingham Forest's recent good run under Dougie Freedman continued last night as they overcame Rotherham United 2-0 at the City ground.
Forest have only lost one in their last 10 and could mount a late charge for play-offs following their win over a side batting to stay in the Championship, as they are currently six points above the relegation zone.
Freedman's side are currently eight points off the play-off spots with eight games remaining, and given the scramble there is at the top end of the Championship with sides dropping points every week, a good run from Forest between now and the end of the campaign could see them sneak into the top six.
It was a comfortable night for the home side with two quick-fire goals just before half time. Dexter Blackstock's lob opened the scoring, before a terrific solo goal capped off with a 25-yard strike from Michail Antonio's doubled the lead to effectively put the game to bed before the interval.
Rotherham, however, are nervously looking over their shoulders but luckily results seems to have gone for them this week with both Wigan Athletic and Fulham on the wrong end of defeats.
