Sheffield Wednesday manager Stuart Gray has spoken of his satisfaction at completing a loan deal for Southampton youngster Lloyd Isgrove at his press conference on Thursday.
Isgrove has joined the Owls on a deal that he is due to run to the end of the season, and there is a great deal of excitement about what the winger has to offer.
Owls fans are hoping that the 22-year-old can enhance their attacking threat and Gray also has high hopes for his new addition.
SG: Isgrove is a boy full of talent, we are grateful to Southampton and he has shown us his ability in training today #swfcLIVE— Sheffield Wednesday (@swfc) March 19, 2015
SG: He has had loan experience at Peterborough and he will get his opportunity here. He can take players on and has a lot of pace #swfcLIVE— Sheffield Wednesday (@swfc) March 19, 2015
Isgrove has had limited chances of first-team action during his career so far, but his last loan spell was a very successful one.
The rapid wide-man impressed at Peterborough United, with his direct displays causing League One teams plenty of problems.
Although he is yet to prove himself at Championship level, there is a feeling that he could provide Wednesday with exactly what they have been looking for throughout the season so far.
The Owls have struggled for goals this campaign, but with Isgrove in their team the service to their strikers should be massively improved and the hope is that he can help them have a positive end to the season.
