Chelsea media round-up: Messi deal is now reportedly on for Blues

A round up of news stories this morning related to Chelsea.

The Metro claims that a Chelsea move for Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi is now possible.

Jose Mourinho has previously laughed off the idea of signing the Argentine because of the mega fee the Blues would have to pay for the privilege.

However, the paper is now suggesting that the club could do a deal inside the Financial Fair Play regulations.

The Daily Star has reported that the Chelsea website has waded into the debate over whether the club are harshly treated by officials.

The Blues’ manager Jose Mourinho has been critical of referees so far this season for the decisions they make in relation to his team.

The paper suggests that a game on the site called ‘penalty puzzle’ works with the same intention.

Chelsea’s youngsters are through in the FA Youth Cup after beating Tottenham over two legs by a score of 5-4, as reported by the Standard.

The Blues had been up against it and trailing 2-0 after the first game between the sides.

However, they dug deep and went mad in attack last night, producing arguably their best performance of the season.
