Tottenham took on the tyre crossbar challenge in training this week.

Tottenham may be looking ahead to this weekend's visit of Leicester City in the Premier League, but their players took part in a mini-challenge in training this week, as seen on the club's official YouTube channel.

Spurs are coming off a demoralising 3-0 defeat to Manchester United, which could severely damage Mauricio Pochettino's hopes of landing a top four place.

It's imperative that Tottenham keep spirits high ahead of their clash with Leicester, and it seems their players tried to do so by taking part part in a challenge for the club's YouTube channel.

The aim was simple; take a free kick and hit the ball through a tyre hanging from the crossbar in a more difficult version of the crossbar challenge.

The likes of Christian Eriksen, Harry Kane, Andros Townsend, Eric Dier and Jan Vertonghen all took part, coming agonisingly close before just one person managed to do it.

Surprisingly, it was left back Danny Rose who managed to bend the ball into the top corner and through the tyre to win the contest.

As you can see in the video, midfielder Nabil Bentaleb had some trouble with the challenge, with team-mates poking fun at his attempt throughout.

It may only be light-hearted fun at the Tottenham training ground, but after that defeat United, that may be what Spurs players need to take their minds off the Old Trafford nightmare.
