A round up of news stories this morning related to Tottenham Hotspur.
The Daily Mirror has reported that Tottenham will be left frustrated if they try to sign Asmir Begovic from Stoke.
The paper suggests Spurs would be interested in a £12 million deal for the shot stopper, potentially as a replacement for Hugo Lloris.
However, Stoke are reportedly planning to offer him a new and improved contract to ensure he doesn’t go anywhere.
Tottenham midfielder Nabil Bentaleb has told the Tottenham website that he felt bad about the team’s performance last weekend against Manchester United.
The midfielder has urged his teammates to pull together and produce a more cohesive and efficient response this weekend against Leicester City.
The midfielder also says he feels bad for the supporters and has promised a better performance in the next game.
“I feel really bad about the game, especially for the fans and I can tell them that we will come back stronger and show a different face when we play Leicester at home,” he said.
The Daily Mirror has also reported that defender Danny Rose was the only player to successfully complete a ‘tyre challenge’ after a Tottenham training session.
The session saw several Tottenham stars trying to curl the ball through a tyre, hanging from the goal behind a mock free kick wall.
He beat the likes of Christian Eriksen, Andros Townsend and Nabil Bentaleb who all took part.
