The Argentine looks to be back to his best after a recent fight with cancer.
Earlier this month Newcastle United midfielder Jonas Gutierrez completed a quite remarkable comeback. The Argentine came on in the 65th minute of Newcastle's tie with Manchester United at St James Park and it was the first time he played since featuring for Norwich City during a loan spell in April 2014.
He had been out with serious illness after being diagnosed with testicular cancer in October 2013. He left the game in April to undergo chemotherapy and, nearly a year later, made his astonishing comeback.
His comeback from cancer has of course been widely praised and lauded by fans, pundits and fellow players, while the man himself has remained humble in his recovery.
However, today he decided to show everyone just how far he has come.
Despite the extensive treatment and lack of physical exercise from the past year of his life Gutierrez has now been hard at work trying to rediscover his physical formidability.
Judging by this picture he posted on his official Instagram account it has certainly paid off, as a bulky and lean looking Gutierrez looked well and truly the professional athlete once again.
The Argentine international will now begin doing his absolute best to ensure he is kept on by Newcastle when his contract expires at the end of the season.
Keep up this work rate and there should be no problems whatsoever.
