Leigh Griffiths bagged another goal for Celtic tonight as they hammered Dundee United 4-0.

Celtic swept Dundee United aside tonight in a 4-0 thumping at Celtic Park - and Leigh Griffiths spoke to the official Celtic Twitter account after scoring for the Bhoys.

It was the third time Celtic have faced Dundee United in ten days, this time beating them in a Scottish Cup replay after winning the Scottish League Cup against the Terrors on Sunday afternoon.

That game finished 2-0 at Hampden Park, but it was far more convincing for Celtic tonight as Ronny Deila's men hammered Dundee United 4-0 at Celtic Park.

Defender Jason Denayer gave Celtic the lead in the first half, before a second half goal blitz with strikes from Leigh Griffiths, Kris Commons and Virgil van Dijk.

Griffiths once again showed why he's Celtic's clear first choice striker ahead of John Guidetti and Stefan Scepovic with another goal, taking his tally to 12 for the season and eight in his last eleven games for the Bhoys.

After the game, Griffiths spoke to the media and as reported by the official Celtic Twitter account, the 24-year-old forward explained what captain Scott Brown said to him after converting his superb pass to put Celtic 3-0 up, with the Bhoys skipper enduring a difficult week off the field.
