Southampton captain Jose Fonte has told the Daily Echo that the squad have their rhythm back and that performances will improve again.
Southampton have been out of form of late and have slipped down the Premier League table as a result, but Fonte believes things will pick up again in the near future.
The Portuguese defender says that having everyone off the treatment table will help the side and he thought that their performance in a 1-1 draw against Chelsea showed they were back to their best.
"Everyone is back now and everyone is switched on and the rhythm is back and hopefully we can maintain this until the end," he said.
"Everyone is fighting for their place to be in the team, and if you want to be in the team you have to be at your best, and I think that is demonstrated in the game."
Fonte's comments offer encouragement at a good time, as Southampton's poor performances of late had threatened to undo all of their hard work this season.
The Saints have occupied a lofty spot in the Premier League table throughout the campaign, but there were fears starting to emerge that they could miss out on a European spot.
However, if Fonte is right and things do pick up, then Southampton could still have it in them to make an unlikely top-four push.
At the moment Ronald Koeman's side are six points away from the Champions League places, but they have shown how dangerous an opponent they can be and a few more wins will put them right back in contention.
