We bring you the best Opta stats from Arsenal's 2-0 Champions League victory over Monaco.

AS Monaco secured their place in the quarter-finals of the Champions League despite losing 2-0 to Arsenal at the Stade Louis II on Tuesday evening. Olivier Giroud and Aaron Ramsey put the North London outfit on the brink of a memorable comeback, but they fell just short of overturning the 3-1 deficit from the first leg.

Here are the top five statistics from Wednesday's encounter:

145 - Santi Cazorla had 145 touchest; the most by a player for an English club in the Champions League since November 2009 (Javier Mascherano).

71 - Arsenal had more possession (70.75%) and completed more passes (651) versus Monaco than in any of their other Champions League games this season. This was their most dominant European display since November 2010 (versus Braga).

4 - Arsenal are now unbeaten in their last four Champions League last 16 second leg matches (W3 D1) but have been eliminated each time. The Gunners have now won four away games in a row (all competitions) for the first time since September 2013.

2 - Monaco conceded as many goals versus Arsenal on Tuesday (two) as in their previous seven Champions League games combined. Giroud's goal was the first the French outfit had conceded at home in Europe this season.

5 - Aaron Ramsey has now scored five Champions League goals over the last two seasons, more than any other Arsenal player.

Bonus: The last time Monaco qualified for the Champions League quarter finals, Arsenal won the Premier League...
