Sunderland are currently looking for a new manager following the dismissal of Gus Poyet on Monday.

Former Leicester City and Derby County midfielder Robbie Savage has taken to social networking site Twitter to joke about getting the Sunderland managerial job.

Premier League outfit Sunderland are currently looking for a manager following the dismissal of Gus Poyet on Monday, as announced on the club’s official website.

It is clear that Savage is not looking to become the new Sunderland manager, and he is not among the top candidates anyway.

According to BBC Sport, former Rangers and PSV coach Dick Advocaat is the main candidate to take charge of the Black Cats for the final nine Premier League games this season.

Former Wales international midfielder Savage is now busy with his media work, presenting shows on BBC Sport and BT Sport.

Sunderland are currently 17th in the Premier League table with 26 points from 29 matches, just a point above the relegation zone.

The Black Cats, who lost 4-0 to Aston Villa at the Stadium of Light on Saturday, will take on West Ham United away from home in London this weekend.
