Rangers supporters have mixed views on whether Sunderland's appointment of Dick Advocaat will be a good one, judging by their comments on Twitter.
Advocaat has come in to replace Gus Poyet at the Stadium of Light, with the Dutchman tasked with keeping Sunderland in the Premier League.
At the moment the Black Cats are just one point above the bottom three and have won just four games over the course of the season so far.
It is a record which has put them in serious danger and unless Advocaat can have an instant impact, they could well be playing Championship football next season.
The Dutchman needs to galvanise the Sunderland team and somehow help them find a way of hitting the back of the net on a more consistent basis.
Rangers fans are better placed than most to judge whether Advocaat is capable of doing this, and their views on the matter are divided.
Advocaat was in charge of Rangers for four years between 1998 and 2002, and he delivered success to the club.
It was at a price, though, as part of their current financial problems are thought to stem from Advocaat's time at the helm.
It means that Rangers fans have different opinions on the experienced manager, and here is the best reaction from the Light Blues' supporters on social media site Twitter.
Life under Dick Advocaat at Rangers was some of the best, Numan, DeBoers, Van Bronckhurst, Mols and many more. Great memories!! #safc— Jonny McFadden (@jonnymcfadden) March 16, 2015
Dick advocaat was my favourite ever rangers manager.........but its absolutely baffling that Sunderland have given him the job there— sunshinekid (@sunshinekid10) March 17, 2015
Advocaat the man who overseen the spreading spree which effectively liquidated Rangers. Ironically it was Martin O'Neill who seen him off— Anthony Trotter (@Trotts01) March 17, 2015
I remember Dick Advocaat at Rangers... We had a lovely time. Then the chickens came home to roost. Not his fault, but he contributed #SAFC— Colin Armstrong (@EE_Colin) March 17, 2015
I make no apologies, Mr Advocaat helped me fall in love with Football as a teen aswell as with #Rangers even more with his style of Football— Robert Ryan (@Boab10) March 17, 2015
Hoping Advocaat does a good job at Sunderland. His first 2 years at @RangersFC brought some fantastic football to Ibrox— Bill Fyfe (@bill_fyfe) March 16, 2015
Nice to see Dick Advocaat back in British football. Put together a great Rangers team in the late 90s.— Marcus Chhan (@MarcusChhan) March 17, 2015
