Joe Allen Liverpool

Liverpool secured a 1-0 win last night away at Swansea City.

Liverpool kept the pressure up on their rivals in the race for the top four with a positive result against Swansea City last night.

The Reds secured a 1-0 victory with Jordan Henderson scoring the only goal of the game to stay right on top of Manchester United, their next opponents.

Here are our player ratings for the game.

Mignolet – 7

A solid performance from the Belgian. He made a couple of foot errors under pressure but made good saves at key times.

Can – 6

A relatively decent performance from the German. He continues to look assured and settled in defence.

Skrtel – 7

Liverpool’s best defender last night. Carried a real presence throughout the game and was virtually faultless.

Sakho – 6

Looked a little nervy when put under pressure, but he did the basics well.

Sterling – 7

Got into the game more over the second 45 minutes and made the right wing his own.

Allen – 8

Liverpool’s star man against the team he used to represent. Protected the ball well and was all around difficult for the Swans to get the better of.

Henderson – 7

Led from the front as he always does. Pressed well and didn’t lose his cool to put Liverpool ahead.

Moreno – 5

He will have better games for the Reds. Looked a little vulnerable in terms of his discipline.

Coutinho – 6

Looked classy in the second half and pulled the strings in attack once he found his feet during the game.

Lallana – 5

Took too long to get into the game. Wasted at right wing-back.

Sturridge – 6

Worked hard up front, harassed the Swansea defence and looked to utilise his pace. Will have better games.
