Is Adryan set to stay at Leeds United, or go when the season is over?
Leeds United loanee Adryan admitted last week in an interview with the Yorkshire Evening Post that he was 'sad' at the way the season has worked out.
The Brazilian has not started a game in 2015, and now his wife has posted a cryptic message on her Instagram page which could be construed to suggest the couple are ready for a new start:
I know that something good is waiting just around the corner ..There's a new day dawning , There's a new life for us ..Got to keep on holding now for just a little longer, I know!
A deal to sign Adryan on a permanent basis at the end of his loan deal would cost around £3 million, the YEP reported last year, but sadly he has not shown that he is worth this sort of money, when placed in the context of what spending such a figure on one player would mean to the club.
He is not even making a big impact in the under-21 side, and the club have talented youngster Chris Dawson who can also play in the same position.
Adryan's wife's message was quoting words from a song, Blue Skies by Australian singer Lenka, yet without any context, it could have a more cryptic meaning - applicable to their situation, of either wanting to leave England, or simply just wishing for chances for the attacker to get back into the starting line-up.
At the end of the season, contractually Adryan is scheduled to return to Brazil with Flamengo. He said in his recent interview he wants to stay at Leeds, but does not want to commit to another season with the reserves.
Just last week, The Mirror reported Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea's girlfriend dropped a clanger by branding the city 'ugly'. This is not in the same category, and only in a few months will we know whether there was anything in the message or not.
