Liverpool made it five consecutive league wins thanks to a 1-0 win over Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium, which came about because of a fortuitous strike from Jordan Henderson midway through the second half.
Swansea were the better side in the first half with a couple of fine saves from Simon Mignolet keeping the scoreline level going into half-time but the second half was a different story.
The Reds made a couple of changes in the middle of the park, including the introduction of Steven Gerrard, and the Reds had a bit more control and started to create a couple of chances, while looking a little tighter at the back.
The goal came about through an intelligent flick on from Daniel Sturridge after he received a Martin Skrtel pass, but Swansea can count themselves unlucky as a tackle from Jordi Amat allowed the ball to rebound off Henderson and loop over Lukasz Fabianski in the Swansea goal.
After that, the Reds could have had one or two more goals. Raheem Sterling squandered a very good chance soon after, while Sturridge hit the post deep in stoppage time.
Gylfi Sigurdsson and Bafetimbi Gomis caused problems for their opponents in the game as they had the best chances for the home side, as Swansea will count themselves unlucky not to have got anything from the game.
