Confirmed: Monaco v Arsenal line-ups

AS Monaco FC Bus

Here are the confirmed teams for the game between Monaco and Arsenal this evening.

Monaco will rightly be the favourites heading into the game this evening because they were superb in the first leg in London. They can play with a little less pressure knowing that it’s all on Arsenal to come forward, to attack and to try and force their way through and into the next round. Monaco simply need to defend effectively and keep Arsenal’s key attacking players out because they have already done the hard work, through their efforts to accumulate three away goals. If they can counter attack well and score the first goal during the game, they should have more than enough to get through.

Arsenal have it all to do against Monaco in the Champions League this evening trailing 3-1 after the first leg in London. The Gunners have played well away from home in Europe in recent seasons, with good results at Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, but they are under a different sort of pressure for the match this evening. Arsene Wenger has challenged his team to overturn the game, defy the club’s critics and shine the light for English clubs in the Champions League over the rest of the season.
