Confirmed: Derby County v Middlesbrough line-ups

Derby County stadium entrance

Here are the confirmed teams as Derby County host Middlesbrough this evening.

Derby County have been going through a blip in their recent performances, but they remain well placed for an assault on the automatic promotion places. They were two points ahead at the top of the table a few weeks ago, but now find themselves chasing down that deficit as they look to prevent the teams above them from pulling away. Derby have the home advantage and there is plenty of experience in the current side, which must be on full display for the team to get a result this evening.

Middlesbrough are one of the sides above the Rams and their incentive is that a win this evening could put them into the outright lead at the top of the Championship table. Boro have been a very difficult team to get the better of under Aitor Karanka and he will want his players to show exactly why over the course of the game. Everyone wants to avoid the lottery of the play-offs, which makes it important for the side to try and find some consistency over their remaining games.
