Thibaut Courtois sends message to Chelsea fans following draw with Southampton

Chelsea were held to a 1-1 draw by Southampton at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League on Sunday.

Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has taken to social networking site Twitter to assure the fans that the team will bounce back from Sunday’s disappointing result.

The Blues dropped two vital points at Stamford Bridge, as they played out a 1-1 draw with Southampton in the Premier League.

Spain international striker Diego Costa put Chelsea in the lead as early as the 11th minute, but Dusan Tadic scored the equaliser from the penalty spot just eight minutes later.

Chelsea did have chances as the game went on, but they had to settle for a 1-1 draw at home.

Jose Mourinho’s side had 61% of the possession, took 22 shots of which seven were on target, and had nine corners.

Courtois, who started the game and played for the entire 90 minutes, has now sent a strong message to the Chelsea fans on Twitter.

Chelsea 1 - Southampton 1. Not the result we hoped for yesterday. Still 10 finals to go !! Come on Chelsea !! #cfc
