Manchester United eased past Tottenham Hotspur 3-0 at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Sunday.

Manchester United striker Radamel Falcao has taken to social networking site Twitter to revel in his side’s victory over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

The Red Devils were expected to be given a run for their money by Spurs at Old Trafford, but they eased to a 3-0 victory in the Premier League clash.

Marouane Fellaini put United ahead as early as the ninth minute after being set up by Michael Carrick.

Former Tottenham midfielder Carrick himself added the second for Louis van Gaal’s side on 19 minutes, and 11 minutes before the half-time interval Wayne Rooney made it 3-0.

It was one of United’s best and most clinical performances of the season, and on-loan Colombia international striker Falcao was delighted with the final result.

Falcao did not start the game, but he came on as a substitute for Belgium international midfielder Fellaini in the 83th minute.

The AS Monaco-owned striker has lost his place in the United starting line-up, but he appears to be determined to help the Manchester outfit finish in the top four of the Premier League this season.

United are currently fourth in the Premier League table with 56 points from 29 matches, just two points behind second-placed Manchester City.
