The Forest captain was impressed with Mackie's performance v Bradford.
Bradford City are out of the FA Cup after losing their quarter final replay against Reading 3-0 at the Madekski Stadium.
One man who was influential in the victory was a Nottingham Forest player.
Jamie Mackie scored the third goal of the game and his tireless work-rate throughout was a constant thorn in the side for the League One side.
Mackie, who joined Forest from QPR in 2013, is currently on a season long loan deal agreed in August, after Stuart Pearce decided he was not in his plans for the upcoming season.
He is in great form. This evening's finish was the Forest owned player's fifth goal in six games and his recent form saw him win the player of the month award at the Berkshire club in February.
His great performance was even noticed by his club's current captain. Henri Lansbury, who has also been in sensational form recently, took to Twitter last night to celebrate Mackie's performance and goal.

Mackie will be pleased to see his performances have not gone unnoticed at the City Ground. Time will tell if he and Lansbury remain team-mates next season.
