Michael Owen has predicted in his Betvictor.com column that Liverpool will win their Premier League clash against Swansea City away from home tonight.
The Reds will travel to Wales for what promises to be a hugely competitive game at the Liberty Stadium.
Swansea are not a side who can be easily defeated at home, but former Liverpool striker Owen predicts Brendan Rodgers’s team to pick up all three points tonight.
“The Reds and their much maligned defence have kept five clean sheets in a row away from home and Brendan Rodgers’ side are the in-form team in the PL with more points in 2015 (23) than any other,” the 35-year-old wrote on Betvictor.com.
“This promises to be an excellent game but I think Liverpool, who will know the result at Old Trafford 24-hours earlier, can maintain their push for a Champions League spot.”
Could Michael Owen’s prediction come true?
Liverpool will be favourites to win tonight, especially as they are in red-hot form at the moment.
The Merseyside outfit are unbeaten in their last 12 Premier League games and are the only undefeated team left in the English top flight in 2015.
Given the Reds’ recent great away record as pointed out by Owen, Liverpool will indeed be confident of winning tonight, but the Swans should be given their due respect.
Garry Monk’s side are having a good season and are on course for a top-10 finish in the Premier League.
Swansea have lost only three matches at the Liberty Stadium this campaign, and 25 of their 40 points have come at home.
