Liverpool youngster Jerome Sinclair has joined Wigan Athletic on loan until the end of the season, as announced by the club’s official website on Monday.
The 18-year-old will join fellow Liverpool youngster Sheyi Ojo at Wigan, who are currently for survival in the Championship.
Sinclair has been in impressive form for the Liverpool Academy this season, scoring 22 goals at all levels, and proving his quality and showcasing his potential.
The teenager is known for his explosive pace and goals, and he has already made his debut for the Liverpool first team.
Wigan are third from bottom in the Championship table with 34 points from 37 matches, six points behind 21st-placed Rotherham United.
Signing Sinclair is going to enhance the Latics’ chances of avoiding the drop to League One at the end of the season.
The youngster is also going to get playing time and first-team experience at the DW Stadium, which is only going to help in his development.
