Hugo Lloris has sent out an encouraging message about the Tottenham Hotspur squad's attitude on the club's official site.
Spurs were handed a heavy 3-0 defeat by Manchester United at the weekend, but Lloris is determined not to dwell on the Old Trafford disappointment.
Instead, he is already looking ahead and the Frenchman was refusing to rule out his team's chance of claiming a top-four place.
“We didn’t see the Tottenham of this season and we can have regrets after this game because it was an opportunity for us," Lloris said.
“Now we need to keep working and keep our heads high because with nine games left, a lot could happen. We need to be ready and try to win as many games as possible.”
Tottenham's defeat to Manchester United leaves them six points off the Champions League qualification places and they have it all to do if they are to get into Europe's premier competition.
Spurs will probably have to win every game between now and the end of the season if they are to break into the top-four, but if the whole squad have the same attitude as Lloris they have a chance.
It would have been easy for Spurs to get down about their defeat, but it seems that it has only motivated them to kick on.
Tottenham's season has been an encouraging one regardless of what happens from now, but it would be disappointing to see it fizzle out and they must try and get back on track as quickly as possible after yesterday's defeat.
