Celtic supporters have been frustrated by Gordon Strachan's decision to ignore many of their in-form stars.
Celtic fans have been left surprised by the decision of Gordon Strachan to omit Gary Mackay-Steven, Leigh Griffiths and Stuart Armstrong from the Scotland squad, which was announced earlier today.
Scotland face fixtures against Northern Ireland and Gibraltar at the end of the month and the fact the Bhoys trio are not in the team has been criticised.
Celtic fans are frustrated that James Forrest, a player who has struggled this season, has been included ahead of Mackay-Steven, whilst the decisions not to be Griffiths and Armstrong have been questioned.
Griffiths and Armstrong have both been in brilliant form recently and to leave them out seems a risk from Strachan.
The Scotland boss did select Crystal Palace's Barry Bannan, Sunderland's Steven Fletcher and Sheffield Wednesday's Stevie May, but none of the three have been in form and, as a result, the overlooking of the Celtic trio has frustrated.
Here is the best reaction from Celtic fans to Strachan's decision on social media site Twitter.
Surprised that Griffiths hasn't been called up to the Scotland squad him and Rhodes could be a great partnership.— Maccasixty7™ (@maccasixty7) March 16, 2015
@ewanmcqueen_91 Griffiths scores goals... Deserves a place. GMS surely a better option that JF! Ah well, in Strachan we trust— Colin Armstrong (@EE_Colin) March 16, 2015
Has May even scored since joining Sheffield? Or even started? Griffiths has been putting in the best performances of his career this season— Kyle (@Kyle_Brown95) March 16, 2015
How James Forrest has got in the Scotland squad over griffiths a don't know— Blair Martin (@BlairMartin96) March 16, 2015
Tbh, the fact that GMS, Armstrong and Griffiths aren't in doesn't bother me from a Celtic point of view. Big games ahead.— Paul Fisher (@Steakheed) March 16, 2015
Has Strachan not watched Celtic recently then? Forrest ahead of GMS and Armstrong. No Griffiths. Madness.— Krys (@krys1888) March 16, 2015
Very uninspired Scotland squad for what are essentially 2 friendlies. Out of form players picked. No Armstrong, GMS or Griffiths is criminal— Mark Nelson (@marknelsoncomic) March 16, 2015
I'm a Stevie May fan but Griffiths should be in Scotland squad ahead of him.....and Fletcher fir that matter #Scotland— Chris Gallagher (@TheGallatron) March 16, 2015
No Griffiths, GMS or Armstrong in Scotland squad? Okay wee GS— Jon Campbell (@Jon_Cam7) March 16, 2015
Strachan calls up Forrest but not GMS or Armstrong? Madness.— Richard Wilson (@timomouse) March 16, 2015
