Tottenham legend Glenn Hoddle pays heartfelt tribute to Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger on Twitter

Wenger signed Glenn Hoddle for AS Monaco in 1987.

Tottenham Hotspur legend Glenn Hoddle recently entered the world of Twitter. The former playmaker and manager was at Spurs from 1975 until 1987 as a player and as a manager from 2001 until 2003.

Of course he was not just a Tottenham player. He spent four years abroad, playing for AS Monaco, before heading back to the UK to finish his career with Swindon Town and Chelsea.

Whilst at Monaco he of course worked under the guidance of Arsene Wenger, the now Arsenal boss.

Wenger actually signed him for Monaco in 1987 and was his manager throughout his spell at Monaco. Nowadays of course the two live on different parallels.

Hoddle is now intrinsically linked to Spurs while Wenger is Arsenal's most successful manager. But Hoddle, who played 490 times for Spurs, is in no doubt about the debt he owes the Arsenal legend.

He posted this Tweet earlier today on the Arsenal boss:

Interestingly enough this comes in a week when Arsenal need to get one over on Monaco. They face the Ligue 1 side on Tuesday night, trailing 3-1 from the first leg at The Emirates, and both Hoddle and Wenger will be hoping the English club pull off the comeback.
