Michael Owen has predicted in his Betvictor.com column that both Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur will score at Old Trafford today.
United will host North London outfit Tottenham in what promises to be a hugely entertaining and fiercely competitive Premier League encounter.
Both teams are attack-minded, and former United and Liverpool striker Owen expects goals at Old Trafford.
“Louis van Gaal cannot afford to lose key home games to both North London Clubs within a week and I expect to see both sides find the back of the net at Old Trafford.”
Owen’s prediction that both United and Tottenham will score at Old Trafford today is likely to come true.
The Red Devils and Spurs are both attacking sides who are also vulnerable at the back, meaning that there will be chances for the two teams.
While Louis van Gaal’s team have scored 47 goals in 28 Premier League matches, Tottenham have found the target 46 times.
Interestingly, United have conceded 26 goals compared to the 39 that Mauricio Pochettino’s side have shipped in.
Both sides have shown this season that they can launch comebacks and score late goals. The game at Old Trafford could well be decided by an injury-time strike.
