Leeds United drew 0-0 with Nottingham Forest on Saturday but what did fans make of Steve Morison's contribution?
Leeds United striker Steve Morison divides opinion, with the forward always working hard for the team but rarely doing his primary job – putting the ball in the back of the net.
Morison has now failed to score in 19 Championship matches this season and his latest failure to find the net played its part in Leeds’ goalless draw with Nottingham Forest.
Leeds manager Neil Redfearn has mixed things up with varying degrees of success this season, but playing target-man Morison wide on the right was one experiment that is unlikely to be repeated.
The 31-year-old looked lost and failed to make much of an impact, ultimately replaced by Mirco Antenucci with 68 minutes gone.
The Italian front-man can rightly feel aggrieved not to have played more this season given his goal-scoring ability, but even he could not break down a resilient Forest side.
After the match, we took to Twitter to see what Leeds fans thought of Morison’s latest performance and you can read a selection of what we found below:
I basically travelled from Ireland today to watch Steve Morison take a shot and make it go out for a throw-in.— Conor Looney (@looneyleeds) March 14, 2015
Steve Morison's 'blooper real' effort was something to behold today. All the intention with absolutely none of the conviction.— I'd Radebe Leeds (@Radebe_Leeds) March 14, 2015
Imagine if putting a shift in made you a good footballer. Steve Morison is diabolical.— Leeds All Over (@LeedsAllOver) March 14, 2015
Think Steve Morison's had his chance now, bottom line is strikers are paid to score goals. Someone else needs an opportunity now— Ian Lillystone (@ianlilly) March 14, 2015
I don't care how hard Steve Morison works he's an awful striker— Kirsty Stanley (@stanners_1982) March 14, 2015
