Jamie Redknapp has told Sky Sports that Sunday’s Premier League clash between Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur will end in a draw.
United will host North London outfit Spurs at Old Trafford in what promises to be a game that could prove to be crucial in the race for the top four.
Former Tottenham midfielder Redknapp believes that the match will end in a draw, and that either England international forward Wayne Rooney or youngster Harry Kane will score the first goal.
“I am going for a draw,” the 41-year-old told Sky Sports. “I think it will be a really tight game.
I am going to go for Wayne Rooney to get the first goal, or Harry Kane… You look at those two players, and at the end of the game we will be taking about them.”
Could Jamie Redknapp’s prediction come true?
It is a bit speculative to suggest that Rooney will score the first goal at Old Trafford, but the final result that Redknapp predicts could well come true.
Both United and Spurs are attack-minded sides and both give away chances to the opposition, which means that Sunday’s encounter at Old Trafford will have goals.
The final minutes of the encounter will be key. United and Tottenham both have scored late goals to win matches this season, and an injury-time strike could well prove to be the difference.
