John Hartson hailed a 'dominant' Celtic performance on Twitter after the Hoops won their first trophy of the Ronny Deila era on Sunday afternoon.
Celtic beat Dundee United 2-0 at Hampden Park thanks to goals from Kris Commons and James Forrest, giving them their first Scottish League Cup win since 2009.
And former Celtic striker Hartson was delighted for his former side, congratulating them on social media after the win and singing their praises after a commanding display.
Well done to Celtic players and staff on their League cup win.. A dominant performance from start to finish!— John Hartson (@JohnHartson10) March 15, 2015
Another former Bhoys striker also took to Twitter after the final, sarcastically praising former team-mate Kris Commons.
Commons has not been too much of a regular for Celtic this term, mainly through injuries and fitness issues, but the 31-year-old was given a platform on the big stage and he once again delivered for Deila's side.
Next up for Celtic? Dundee United again! And then again...
Indeed, the Bhoys face United in the replay of the Scottish Cup quarter-finals this Wednesday, before then taking them on in the Scottish Premiership next weekend.
For now, though, Deila and co will no doubt be a little too busy celebrating...
