Alberto Bueno is in terrific form this season and is out of contract in the summer.
In 2010 Derby County snapped up former Real Madrid youngster Alberto Bueno on loan from Real Valladolid.
Considered one of the best talents in the Real Castilla before his 2009 exit, he went on to play 32 games for the Championship side and score seven goals.
But while his return may not have been prolific, most Derby fans could see he had talent. However, at just 21-years-old, perhaps he was still too young for a move abroad.
He went back to Spain that summer and ended up joining Rayo Vallecano in 2013.
He has since become a vital member of the Rayo first-team. He recently scored four goals in just one game for the club and yesterday increased his good return for the season.
Bueno bagged two goals for Rayo in a 3-1 win against Granada yesterday, taking his impressive tally to 15 for the season.
He has scored more goals than the likes of Karim Benzema, Antoine Griezmann and Mario Mandzukic in the league.
His contract expires in the summer and based on recent form, Derby County would love to see him back at the club.
