The versatile 19-year-old started the Championship clash against Norwich City at Carrow Road on Saturday and featured for the entire 90 minutes.
Hanson, who can play in a number of positions, was deployed in the holding midfield position and gave a good account of himself.
The teenager won four of the seven tackles he attempted and two of the three headers he went for, although his pass accuracy of 64% could be improved upon.
Hanson was crucial in Derby winning a point at Norwich, as it was his corner in the 65th minute that led to the Rams’ equalising goal in the 1-1 draw.
The youngster was overjoyed to have made his debut for Derby and posted the following message on Twitter.
