This is how Everton and Newcastle United will line up for the Premier League clash at Goodison Park…

Newcastle United will be looking to return to winning ways in the Premier League this afternoon when they take on Everton away from home.

John Carver’s side will head into the game at Goodison Park on the back of a 1-0 defeat to Manchester United at St. James’ Park.

That defeat means that Newcastle are currently in 11th place in the Premier League table with 35 points from 28 matches.

Meanwhile, Everton still find themselves among the teams struggling to avoid the drop to the Championship at the end of the season.

Roberto Martinez’s men are 14th in the standings with 28 points from as many games at the moment, just three points above the relegation zone.

The Toffees, though, will be boosted by their victory over Dynamo Kiev at home in the first leg of the Europa League round-of-16 tie on Thursday.

It promises to be an exciting game at Goodison Park this afternoon, and this is how Everton and Newcastle will line up:

Everton XI: Howard, Baines, Jagielka (c), Alcaraz, Coleman, McCarthy, Gibson, Lennon, Osman, Kone, Lukaku

Subs: Joel, Naismith, Besic, Atsu, Barkley, Stones, Garbutt

Newcastle United XI: Krul; Janmaat, Coloccini (c), Williamson, R.Taylor; Colback, Sissoko; Obertan, Gouffran, Ameobi; Riviere

Subs: Elliot, Satka, Anita, Gutierrez, Cabella, Armstrong, Perez
