West Ham fans discuss Allardyce's future and tactics on Twitter after Arsenal defeat

West Ham fans were calling for Sam Allardyce to be sacked after the club's 3-0 defeat to Arsenal today.

West Ham United have now won just one of their last 12 Premier League games after falling to a 3-0 defeat at the hands of London rivals Arsenal this afternoon.

With just one victory since Christmas, the Hammers are in dire form - and it didn't get any better as Arsenal swept them aside at the Emirates Stadium.

West Ham held firm until the stroke of half time, when Olivier Giroud crashed home a superb shot following beautiful link-up play between Mesut Ozil and Aaron Ramsey.

Ramsey then made it 2-0 to Arsenal after a period of West Ham pressure, before Mathieu Flamini added gloss to the win with the third goal to send the Hammers back to East London empty handed again.

The focus after the defeat has unsurprisingly been surrounding the future of manager Sam Allardyce, with many fans taking to Twitter to demand his sacking.

Allardyce is out of contract at the end of this season and the expectation is that West Ham will let him leave Upton Park after a torrid run of form.

That can't come soon enough for many West Ham fans, who tweeted their disappointment with the result as well as Allardyce's tactics - though some felt it was harsh to criticise him after a defeat to such a good Arsenal side.

Here are some of the reactions from West Ham fans as Allardyce comes under increasing pressure...
