Former Fulham and QPR forward Rodney Marsh suggests that Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane should win the Premier League Player of the Year award.

Former Fulham and Queens Park Rangers forward Rodney Marsh has suggested on social networking site Twitter that Harry Kane should win the Premier League Player of the Year award.

Marsh made the comment following the announcement on Friday that the Tottenham Hotspur striker has won the Premier League Player of the Month for February.

One suspects that many, if not all, Tottenham fans will agree with former England international Marsh.

Kane is only the fourth player to have won the Premier League Player of the Month award for two months in a row.

Only Dennis Bergkamp, Cristiano Ronaldo and Robbie Fowler had previously achieved the feat since the prize was first introduced 21 years ago.

England Under-21 international Kane has been in truly brilliant form this season and has been one of the best players for Tottenham.

In 24 Premier League appearances so far this campaign, the 21-year-old has scored 16 goals and created 20 chances, while having a pass accuracy of 75% and a shot accuracy of 59%.

Based on quality, there are far better players than Kane in the Premier League, but the youngster has made a truly brilliant impact at Tottenham this term.
