Tottenham Hotspur youngster Grant Ward has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his delight at joining Coventry City on loan.
The 20-year-old midfielder has moved to the League One outfit on loan for the rest of the season, as announced on the club’s official website earlier today.
Ward has been on the books on Spurs since 2011, but he has yet to make his debut for the North London club’s first team.
This is the second time that the youngster has been sent out on loan. Ward played for Major League Soccer outfit Chicago Fire in 2014, scoring two goals in 27 appearances in all competitions.
Ward will now feature for Coventry for the rest of the season, and he is already looking to make an impact at the Ricoh Arena.
Tony Mowbray’s side are currently 20th in the League One table with 37 points from 35 matches, just two points above the relegation zone.
Ward has taken to Twitter to make it clear that he will do all he can to help Coventry stave off relegation to League One.
Coventry will take on Chesterfield at the Proact Stadium in League One on Saturday.
