Leeds United stand a good chance of securing an impressive win against Nottingham Forest this weekend.
Leeds United face a difficult game against Nottingham Forest this weekend, looking to maintain the good form they have shown since the turn of the year.
Forest have been in great form under their new manager Dougie Freedman and it’s a very difficult game to call at Elland Road.
Here are five key players for Leeds looking ahead to the game.
Leeds are well known for being a very narrow team. The pressure is on the full-backs to get forward and create the extra width down either side and Wootton will be important at both ends of the pitch.
Cooper should go straight back into the heart of the back four if he’s fit. He’s a leader in defence and will be important during the periods of the game where the team is under a bit of pressure from the Forest attack.
Cook is a very consistent player and someone who is superb controlling the tempo and pace in big games. He’s vital to the integrity of the midfield and will be a key feature of the side for the rest of the season.
Mowatt has arguably been the most impressive of the Leeds midfielders so far this season. He’s superb at finding space and spotting the opportunities where he can get forward and get on the end of key chances.
Sharp has hit some form for Leeds in the last couple of weeks. He works very hard and is a slippery, quick sort of striker for the opposition to deal with. He’ll work hard throughout the game and will never stop testing the Forest back four.
