Lewis Walters will be hoping to feature against Nottingham Forest this weekend.
There is no doubting the fact that Leeds United’s youth academy has paid dividends in recent months. The likes of Sam Byram, Alex Mowatt, Lewis Cook and Charlie Taylor have all been regulars in the Leeds side of late.
There is of course now hope other youngsters will come through the ranks - with one of the hottest tipped to do so being Lewis Walters.
The young attacker is clearly a favourite of manager Neil Redfearn’s. He has bags of pace and trickery so is just what Leeds need as a Plan B.
Unfortunately most of this season he has been side-lined with a knee injury, but that being said, he has recently made some major in-roads to the first-team.
Yesterday he retweeted the above picture, training with Leeds United man of the moment Alex Mowatt, ahead of the weekend fixture with Nottingham Forest.
Walters is still waiting to make his official Leeds debut, although he has been travelling with the squad to games and was named on the bench against Watford at the end of February.
Leeds fans will certainly be hoping to see yet another youth product making his debut soon.
