Newcastle United goalkeeper Jak Alnwick has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his delight at making a loan move to Bradford City.
Alnwick has joined Bradford from Newcastle on loan for the rest of the season, as announced on the club’s official website earlier today.
The 21-year-old made his Premier League debut for Newcastle against Chelsea back in a December.
Since then, the youngster has played in five more league matches for the Magpies and twice in cup competitions.
However, the return to full fitness of Tim Krul has restricted Alnwick’s chances of appearing in the first team for the rest of the season.
Alnwick will get more playing time at Bradford, who are currently in League One and vying for promotion to the Championship.
Following his loan departure to the Bantams, the youngster posted the following message on Twitter.
Could not be happier signing for @officialbantams till the end of season, great club and great fans. Time to get some league experience— Jak Alnwick (@alnwick42) March 13, 2015
Bradford are currently ninth in the League One table with 49 points from 34 matches, just a point behind sixth-placed Doncaster Rovers with a game in hand.
