Newcastle supporters react on Twitter to Alnwick's loan move to Bradford

Newcastle United fans are not confident that Jak Alnwick will cope at Bradford City.

Newcastle United supporters aren't confident that Jak Alnwick will be able to cut it in League One after his loan move to Bradford City was confirmed by BBC Sport today.

Alnwick joins Bradford on a temporary move until the end of the season and will be looking to impress as his contract at St. James' Park expires this summer.

Newcastle have offered no indication that they will offer him a new deal and it means that Alnwick's current move represents a good opportunity for him to secure his future.

The young goalkeeper was brought in by the Bantams to replace Jordan Pickford, after Sunderland recalled him from his loan spell at the start of the week.

On the face of it, bringing in a Premier League goalkeeper would usually be considered a good move for a League One outfit, but Newcastle fans have suggested that he won't make the grade.

The Magpies supporters saw Alnwick in action for a run of games earlier in the season, when injury struck Tim Krul and Rob Elliot, and it seems that his displays have cast doubt over his ability.

As a result, they have warned Bradford fans not too expect too much from their new goalkeeper, with most being rather uncomplimentary towards the young stopper.

Here is the best reaction from Newcastle supporters on Twitter towards Alnwick's move.
