Croatian prodigy Marcelo Brozovic reveals love for Chelsea

Inter Milan

The Croatian was heavily linked with a move to Arsenal in January.

At the end of January the long battle to sign Croatian talent Marcelo Brozovic was finally won by Italian outfit Inter Milan.

It was reported by the club that they had agreed a deal for the player to join on loan for a year-and-a-half, and also retained the right to buy him from Dinamo Zagreb at the end of that spell.

It came after a lengthy battle to sign the player who was also heavily linked with a move to the Premier League.

According to the Daily Mail it was Arsenal who were his biggest fans. They began negotiations over his availability in October, according to the report, and were willing to spend £6.4 million to get their man.

Of course no deal ever came off and Brozovic joined Inter.

Today however he has revealed that when it comes to Premier League teams, there is only one which gets him going. Not Arsenal, but London rivals Chelsea.

He confirmed so in a Twitter question and answer session today, responding to ‘who was your favourite team and player?’ with the simple answer of ‘Chelsea and Lampard.’

Brozovic is currently at Inter and appears to be enjoying his time there. But when his loan expires Chelsea stand a better chance of snatching him from Inter than Arsenal ever will.
