Nacho Monreal has been a vital player for the Londoners this season, ousting Kieran Gibbs from the left-back spot and filling in in central defence when needed to, proving himself vital to the extent that the Arsenal website has one teammate hailing him as one of the club's most consistent players in 2014/15.
And the former Malaga man added a massive goal to his contributions last weekend, finishing a great team move to open the scoring at Old Trafford against Manchester United, and set the Gunners on their way to a semi-final appearance at Wembley just a year after they lifted the trophy.
The Spanish international is arguably enjoying his best spell since arriving from La Liga in 2013, and that form has led his compatriot and Arsenal captain Mikel Arteta to publicly recognise the Gunners number 18.
"He took his goal very well and I think he's been one of our most consistent players this season," Arteta told the club's matchday programme.
"You know what you are going to get when he's playing he's very focused, very determined in every action and he was in the right place at the right time on Monday. It was a cool finish.
"Everyone was happy for him because he's such a great guy. He's always in a good mood, his English is getting better but it's funny sometimes the way he talks!"
The next step for Monreal will be negotiating a London derby with West Ham United on Saturday before a crunch Champions League last-16 second-leg clash away to Monaco on Tuesday, with Arsenal looking to overturn a devastating 3-1 home loss to the principality club a couple of weeks ago.
