According to the Daily Mirror, Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal will hand one final first team chance to right back Rafafel.
Van Gaal has tested and toyed with a host of different formations and players, but the regular exclusions of Ander Herrera and Radamel Falcao have been concerning for United fans.
Another player left on the sidelines for the majority of the season is right back Rafael, who was a virtual mainstay under Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford.
The 24-year-old Brazilian has been replaced by Antonio Valencia at right back, and has started just six league games under van Gaal this season.
With speculation linking United with a move to sign Southampton's Nathaniel Clyne at the end of the season, per the Express, it seems like Rafael's days are numbered at Old Trafford.
Yet now, the Daily Mirror report that van Gaal will give Rafael one last chance to impress before the summer transfer window after a promising display against the Tottenham Under-21's earlier this week.
Rafael scored in that 1-1 draw, and could now be given a chance to feature in the first team after Valencia's costly mistake in Monday's FA Cup defeat to Arsenal.
